Direct answer: Walk In Tubs Arizona, an Aging Safely Baths company, sells walk-in tubs and roll-in shower kits supply-only, delivered to any Arizona address for your own ROC-licensed contractor to install. Supply-only costs less than full installation because you hire your own installer. Supply-only delivery is also available to Canada, and every quote is free and written.

Who it is for

When supply-only makes sense

Supply-only means we sell and ship the walk-in tub or shower kit, and your own licensed contractor installs it. Because you are not paying for our installation, the price is lower. You pay your installer separately.

It is a good fit if you already have a contractor or plumber you trust, if you are remodeling the whole bathroom anyway, or if you live far from town and a local tradesperson is easier to schedule. It also works for property managers and family members handling a project for a parent.

If you would rather have one company handle everything, our factory-certified installers can do the whole job instead. See how full installation works in Arizona.

What arrives

What comes in the delivery

Exact contents depend on the model. Your quote lists them.

Walk-in tub

The tub with its door, seat and drain, usually with the faucet, handheld shower and any jets or inline heater already mounted. Some models include wall extension panels.

Shower kit

The shower base and wall panels in sections, plus parts such as a drain, seat, grab bars and water dam, depending on the package you choose.

See the full range of shower packages on the Aging Safely Baths accessible shower packages page, or compare Showers4Less shower kits if you like to browse on your own.

Delivery day

How to receive freight without trouble

A walk-in tub travels by freight truck, strapped to a pallet and wrapped. Most deliveries are curbside, which means the driver brings it off the truck to your curb or driveway. Moving it inside is up to you or your contractor, so plan for at least two strong helpers and a hand truck or dolly.

Rural and northern Arizona addresses are welcome. Freight carriers reach small towns, ranch roads and mountain communities, though a remote address can take longer to schedule. If your road is gravel, steep or hard for a large truck, tell us when you order so the carrier can plan. Check our full Arizona service area for the towns and counties we deliver to.

The most important rule: inspect before you sign. The delivery receipt is your proof of what condition the tub was in when it arrived.

  1. Look at the packaging. Check for holes, crushed corners or broken pallet boards.
  2. Open what you can. If possible, look at the tub shell, the door and the corners.
  3. Write down any damage. Note it on the receipt in plain words before you sign, even if it looks small.
  4. Take photos. Photograph the packaging and any damage while the driver is there.
  5. Call us right away. We start the claim and arrange a fix or replacement.

Arizona summer tip: avoid leaving a wrapped tub in the sun on a driveway in July. Move it into a garage or shade as soon as you can, and keep it out of the weather until install day.

Measure first

Measure the path to the bathroom, not just the alcove

Most walk-in tubs fit the same 60 by 30 to 32 inch space as a standard tub. The bathroom is rarely the problem. The path to it is. Many tubs are 26 to 32 inches wide, and a tub cannot bend around a tight hallway corner.

Before you order, measure every spot the tub has to pass through, from the truck to the tub alcove. Write each number down and send it with a few phone photos. We will check it against the exact model.

If a one-piece tub will not fit, a shower kit that comes in panels usually will.

Do not forget height. A tub tipped on its side to clear a doorway needs headroom, and a low ceiling at a stair landing or a hanging light fixture in the hall can stop it. Note anything that sticks out along the way.

Measure thisWhy it matters
Front or garage door widthThe first squeeze point
Hallway widthTubs travel on their side through halls
Tightest corner turnWhere most deliveries get stuck
Bathroom door widthOften the narrowest door in the house
Alcove length and widthWall to wall, where the tub will sit
Drain sideLeft or right, to match the right model

For your contractor

What your contractor needs from us

Send this to your installer before the tub ships. It saves calls and surprises.

Spec sheet

Exact dimensions, weight empty and full, drain location, door swing and rough-in measurements for the model you chose.

Electrical

Tubs with jets or an inline heater usually need a dedicated, GFCI-protected circuit near the tub. A plain soaker needs no power.

Plumbing

Supply line sizes, drain fittings and valve needs. Many Arizona homes sit on a slab, so your contractor should check how the drain lines up.

We are glad to talk directly with your contractor about the specs. Hot water matters too: a deep tub needs enough hot water to fill, so your installer should look at your water heater size.

Hiring an installer

Check the ROC license before anyone starts

Arizona requires a licensed contractor for nearly every tub or shower installation. The only exception is a minor job under $1,000 in labor and materials that needs no permit, and jobs cannot be split to stay under. A walk-in tub install is almost never that small.

Ask your contractor for their ROC license number and look it up on the Registrar of Contractors website. Confirm it is active and that the business name matches. Our step-by-step ROC license check shows what to look for.

To compare costs fairly, add your contractor's written labor quote to the supply-only price, then compare with an installed quote. Our walk-in tub cost guide for Arizona lists the line items to ask about.

Outside Arizona? We also offer supply-only delivery to Canada, for family members or a second home.

FAQ

Supply-only delivery, answered

How is a walk-in tub delivered to my home?

Walk-in tubs ship by freight truck on a pallet, usually with curbside delivery. The driver brings it to the curb or driveway, and you or your contractor move it inside. Ask about delivery options when you order if you need more help.

What should I do if the tub arrives damaged?

Inspect it before you sign. If you see damage, write it clearly on the delivery receipt, take photos and call us right away. Signing a clean receipt without noting damage makes a claim much harder.

Can my handyman install a walk-in tub?

In Arizona, nearly every tub or shower installation needs an ROC-licensed contractor, and a tub with jets or a heater also needs proper electrical work. Check the license at roc.az.gov before you hire anyone.

Will my warranty still apply if my own contractor installs it?

Warranty terms depend on the manufacturer and the model. Many require installation by a licensed professional following the instructions. Read the warranty with your contractor before install day, and keep your receipts and their license number.

Can I have the tub shipped to my contractor instead of my home?

Often, yes, as long as someone is there to receive and inspect the freight. Tell us the delivery address and the name of the person who will sign when you order.

How long does it take for a supply-only order to arrive?

Timing depends on the model and stock. Your written quote includes an expected delivery window so you and your contractor can plan. Do not schedule demolition until the tub is in your hands.
